They shared the house with two boarders, a young couple named Carlton P., 26, and Myra T. Tarpley, 23. Mr. Preston was a traveling salesman for the steam engineering industry, and Mr. Tarpley was a bookkeeper for Propietary Motors (?) The dates match pretty well, but I'm not totally sure it's the same person. Funeral is 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Sharon Memorial Park. Visitation is 7 to 8:30 tonight at Harry and Bryant Funeral Home. Mr. Preston, an Atlanta native, retired in 1990 as a Phillips Medical Systems service technician after 40 years. He was a Georgia Technical Institute graduate and a Korean War Army veteran.
